Amongst others, there is a certain passage in the Bible that gives me goosebumps…
 That seems to whisper something bigger than I can quite put my finger on. It’s in the New Testament Letter to the Ephesians and is talking about being able to approach God with confidence... it goes on to say:
“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. HOPE TOOK A HIKE by Edith Lazenby Trilling

Sometimes life gives us challenges…
Sometimes the challenge is finding the value in life. 
I wrote this tonight. There are always curve balls and the unexpected. Yet when the floor is pulled out, when I am left questioning all I have known, hope takes a hike...and this is where it took me.
Hope Took A Hike
Hope took a hike
down a trail and
I cannot see where
she is going: lost
I seek her footprints;
Eyes bent toward branches
and try to find her scent.
I fear she left me here
in a wood with trees
and fallen limbs
on a night without
benefit of the moon.
I collect the wood
and begin a fire
though it is summer.
The air feeds the flames.
I want to burn like that.
I want to feel passion
ignite my insides with meaning.
Instead I left care in a door
I can no longer open.
Time is a mist in my mind.
Nothing holds nothing.
I look inside to find a shadow.
If there is a shadow, there
must be a light to feed me.
Yet darkness swallows my feet up to my head.

 Nearly every summer, since childhood to the present, I have returned annually to the shores of Cape Cod…
…Spending days walking along its sandy beaches and gazing at colorful kites pirouetting across its sun drenched skies.
As my family and I make preparations to have our senses once again inundated with the exhilarating combination of salt air and invigorating waters I couldn't help but reflect on the fact that every time I come back to this place of abundant memories I return a different person. 
One year I remember going up to that most treasured peninsula jutting out from the eastern seaboard as a child dreaming of being an astronaut. Mesmerized by the heavens I sat, wide-eyed, gazing out at the view before me stretching out into infinity. Another summer I went up as a bright-eyed dreamer envisioning that I would change the world and someday ride the ocean's waves on Greenpeace rafts and save whales from being murdered.

I KNOW YOU ARE THERE by Kia Miller

This poem came through in less than an hour…
 It speaks of my relationship to the Divine, how our senses can become glorious agents, delivering to us all manner of heavenly delights.
Everything in life is perception. In the Tantric/Kundalini tradition a merging with life is encouraged, rather than withdrawing can we engage wholeheartedly and in doing so, feel every thing as part of one Creative Source represented in a myriad of different ways.

The music within my soul sings a song of silence in the hurried rush, cacophony of chaos. As we all rush around in pursuit of emptiness cleverly disguised as freedom, value, and being worthy of love.
