This poem came to me yesterday as I was on my daily walk in Nature. ..
I have been so confused this year by the weather as it seems to chaotically move from one season to the next on the same day. Well, at least that is the case as I experience this spring here in in the UK. But then I was able to let go of this surface chaos, and was able to pause in time and observe what Nature was up to, I just saw it, I felt it and I got all excited because it is, well and truly, spring!
It is Truly Spring
by Isabelle Andres
It is truly spring
Even if the weather is lying
If rain, sun and snow are cohabiting,
It is truly spring the bird kingdom is saying,
You just have to look and see,
“The blackbird feeding his female to win her trust for his coming clutch”
“The pair of Goldcrests unusually bold, looking for what will make their fledging’s home”
It is truly spring the plant kingdom is saying,
You just have to look and see,
“The buds arrogantly blossoming in vibrant rhythms of green leaves”
It is truly spring the insect kingdom is saying,
You just have to look and see,
“The bees busily buzzing creating sound waves breaking on the honey shores”
It is truly spring the animal kingdom is saying,
You just have to look and see,
“The fox cups clumsily playing out of their den safety under the close watch of their mummy”,
"It is truly spring!", Nature is gracefully exclaiming,
You just have to look and see.
Isabelle Andres: A few years ago, I decided to embark on a new journey, a rather personal one, one of self-discovery and so I began to let go of all I once was to become all I am and will be. Along the way, I have discovered myself a passion for photography, writing, reading and dancing amongst many other things. I find my inspiration in Nature and contemporary art and I love to explore the creative and spiritual spheres. From introspective journaling I somehow began to venture in the land of poetry. My first poem came to me whilst I was absorbed as I often am in a moment of Nature contemplation. Recently I have begun to venture in the land of fictional writing and I now secretly dream that one day I will be the proud author of a novel. I can be found on my website Belle Pan’s Maze and on my writer’s page on Facebook.
