I feel so good and relaxed when I write...

I feel love and peace, and enter into a kind of meditative state when I write. I hope that my poems will give others the same feeling. My hope is that my poetry will help people connect with their real Spiritual selves. My hope is that my poetry will guide them to their answers. For me, writing is more than words on a paper. It is music… There are tones… There is rhythm… There are feelings… Hope you can hear the song of the Earth through my poetry.

The Song of Life

Every cell is singing The Song of Life!

The words and melody are for you to choose…

What feeling do you want to give them?

Be mindful of what you think

because every moment is recorded

in The Song of Life.

And your cells will sing it

every day and every night:

Creating Reality, Creating Life…

Every thought and every feeling comes back to you

In the form you gave it… Is it blessing or a curse?

You choose…

I choose happiness:

“Oh, Happy day!”

I feel the presence of God everywhere

I see it in others, I feel it in me.

Every cell in me is singing: “Oh, Happy Day!”

I feel the love of God in every cell.

“Oh, Happy Day! Oh, Happy Day!”

All day long: “Oh, Happy Day!”

God loves me as I am…

Nevena Mihaylova : I believe that part of my purpose here on this beautiful Earth is to write. To write inspiring stories that open people´s minds. To write uplifting poems that make people feel good. Writing is big part of my Spiritual journey. It is a way I communicate with God. Every time I am inspired to write I feel Spirit flows through me. I feel the same way when I am drawing or taking photos with my camera. STILL I RISE by Maya Angelou

Six years ago, I had the privilege of listening to Maya Angelou speak live on the value of poetry at the University of Florida. I share these reflections with you again today, in honor of her birthday. I was relieved to get one of the last seats available for this rare event, having arrived at five for Maya Angelou ’s free speech at eight. The historically long line began with people settled into beach chairs in winter coats busying themselves on tablets, or eating sandwiches for dinner. As helicopters hovered above and newscasters below, I felt the excitement of realizing that thousands of people were gathering together to hear an eighty four year old black woman recite her poetry! MIRABAI'S POETRY by Caitanya Dasi

Much of the mystic love poetry from India revolves around musical and theatrical expressions that portray the loving relationship between the soul and God… One such celebrated relationship was that between princess Mirabai and her divine beloved, Krishna. Born in the sixteenth century into a noble Rajput family, Mirabai married into a family that did not take fondly to her devotion to God. Consequently, she went from royalty to mendicant, and decorated her spiritual path with poetic songs. I first heard of the great poet, Mirabai in the early 1970’s while I was living and studying bhakti yoga at the Hare Krishna temple in Los Angeles, California.
