SISTERHOOD by Carolyn Riker

As each year passes, we add new friends to our circle of sisterhood...

We walk with each other through our journeys. We share laughter and joy as well as tears and hardships.

A foundation is built to withstand the storms.

Our friendships are a bond of steadfast trust and honesty. There’s an unspoken, nonjudgmental safety of encouragement and caring support. The candor and genuine love glows from within. We can be vulnerable and therefore brave. This is sacred to me.

I wrote this poem to honor the sisterhood of friendships that have graced my life.

Sisterhood

A sacred circle of
Women joyfully gather to
Exchange and transcend
Share and respect
Centuries of divine feminine wisdom
Imparted
A synergy formed
The gift of trust
Created and cherished
Linked with fluid steps
Sustained in an exquisite vessel
The love is felt and exchanged
A tenacious tapestry
Infinite
Resilient
Courageous
Our hearts tenderly held
in sisterhood of love.

  2. This reflection beautifully captures the heart of genuine friendship and faith. The By His Grace Sisterhood in UK truly embodies this spirit — women walking together in love, prayer, and encouragement through every season of life.
