The creative shakti flow of energies is feminine and giving...

 This represents a divine flow inspired by Mother Earth and her abundant offerings of energies and spirit. As I explore the flow of life and various realms, transcendental moments, deep dark roots, and the beauty of the here and now on our precious planet, my spirits vibrates! I feel this vibration resonate with the greater Spirit: our unified spirit, our unified being, which vibrates way beyond what is immediately seen. 

 "Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavatu" May all beings be happy and free! Aum shanti!

Free-for-all Kundalini

ah, up the spine
the kundalini rising
sacral chakra heart spinning
red and orange like fire
fast and pure
peaceful
and still beating 
to the sound of
one
one moment to breathe
breathe 
in 
deep 
and clear
and sigh 'om'
loud and clear
exhale
shanti
time to fly now
time to pound the stone 
and get it out there 
share 
and smile
big breaths 
big dreams
small steps
climbing big
sailing
back down to the earth again
her dirt and flowers
that primal soil
roots down deep
brimming with life
invisible
beneath the surface
this cosmic kundalini
force 
rising 
in all of us
she the shakti
the goddess
gives
life and breath
the goddess 
lives 
in us
she
is us
i pledge allegiance
to the goddess
creator and life giver
her infinite abundance
with freedom and justice 
for all.

STILL I RISE by Maya Angelou

Six years ago, I had the privilege of listening to Maya Angelou speak live on the value of poetry at the University of Florida. I share these reflections with you again today, in honor of her birthday.  I was relieved to get one of the last seats available for this rare event, having arrived at five for Maya Angelou ’s free speech at eight. The historically long line began with people settled into beach chairs in winter coats busying themselves on tablets, or eating sandwiches for dinner. As helicopters hovered above and newscasters below, I felt the excitement of realizing that thousands of people were gathering together to hear an eighty four year old black woman recite her poetry! MIRABAI'S POETRY by Caitanya Dasi

Much of the mystic love poetry from India revolves around musical and theatrical expressions that portray the loving relationship between the soul and God… One such celebrated relationship was that between princess Mirabai and her divine beloved, Krishna. Born in the sixteenth century  into a noble Rajput family, Mirabai married into a family that did not take fondly to her devotion to God. Consequently, she went from royalty to mendicant, and decorated her spiritual path with poetic songs.
