Transitions are
passages. Change is inevitable and with it ample opportunities are
provided to grow…
Each passage presents different obstacles.
During times of tremendous transition, I retreat to my garden. She is patiently
waiting for me and teaches me the cyclical patterns of life: quiet dormancy,
budding rebirth, vibrant growth and eminent death.
The
solace of nature has always been consistent and readily available with wisdom. It
is one of the few places I exchange my thoughts freely as I listen to the
birds, share the air with the trees, and retreat into a meditation of trust.
I
wrote this poem early one morning as autumn is now nipping at the edges of my
sleeves. My thoughts were quietly infused with peacefulness and her steady hand
led me home.
My
Heart Rises
Mist gracefully shrouds
the morning sun
fragments of dreams
still hum
a cadence of light
rain
the footsteps of faeries
mystically stills my
heart
enchanting prayers
offered in this sacred
space
of solitude
I peacefully breathe
the cool damp air
as it teases and
dances through the
trees
a playful exchange
of wind.
sunlight sees the shadows
memories cleansed
by the morning dew
a hazy world
of seeing the past
stepping into new
grateful
as I watch
my heart
