Journey of the Heart

Recently, I had to let go of a person whom I really love and care about… The pain I felt because of it, and my asking for guidance to get through the days that followed, moved me to write this poem. As I have always yearned for a relationship that lasts forever, and as this wish has not yet become my destiny, I have realized that the foreverness is in the shared moments of love. These loving moments are forever.  The love that we shared is forever a part of me. Realizing this I am learning to go with the flow of life, and trust in the road before me no matter what it holds. I feel less fear in the unknown as I feel Peace in the arms of the Divine cradling me always. I also don't feel the urge to control, and try to force doors to open, which aren't ready to open. This poem expresses for me what Marriage really means to me… After two divorces I think I finally learned about the real symbolic meaning behind true marriage. The author modeling in 1991 When I was younger, I had the privilege to travel the world as a successful model. But all I really wanted was to find real love. I always remember how I canceled modeling jobs because of choosing love instead of money, in my search for my perfect match. I would feel like it was happening and then I had to let it go. Through these brake-ups I was forced to create a bond, in my times of being alone at home, with something Higher than me: An unseen force, which is always with me.   And I learned to relax, because I no longer felt alone.   This poem happened when I was laying on the couch and I felt a sudden surge of vibrant energy, so joyfully filling up my Being. It made me feel so alive, so happy! I wanted to share this feeling of creative energy. This energy, Prana , is our Universal Life Force, which sustains us all. I believe, that we all need to express ourselves. We are all Artists. As my Guru, Swami Sivananda, would say: "We are creators of our Destiny" So lets follow our Inner Voice, and express our Light: either as Healers, Sages, Doctors, Lawyers, Businessmen, Artists, etc. As long as we express ourselves truly as we are, we will be content and healthy. I wrote this poem to encourage the feeling of giving oneself completely and without fear… By opening oneself as we women are intended to, we make sure that we flower, and thus express the highest potential of love and wisdom.  Only when we have the courage to open all the way, can we receive the full spectrum of the Truth.
