This poem represents my spiritual journey as a poet… The Universe, Great Mystery, what have you, began a renewal within me in the year 2012. This renewal was quite possibly always there, waiting to burst forth, however, in 2012, the process made itself known to me. This poem, written this year, is a reflection of this renewal process, which is continual, and quite an exciting journey for me: A journey that I am learning to enjoy, despite not knowing fully where the Universe is taking me. by the blue-green waters of vastness,
where foam crests of the tides wash away my pride;
new veins, pump oxygenated life-blood,
through venous rivers, warm with crimson heat-
I am being renewed. A second chance to turn brown leaves,
into jade green growth,
that sprouts leaflets of life's notes, at the foot of the tree of life;
