WEAVING by Jyoti Rebecca Yacobi

As I reflect on the turmoil of daily living… I see how sometimes, in those moments of darkness and despair,  it can be challenging to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  And yet, the magical hand of the Divine asserts Its Presence at the subtlest levels of our being.    At challenging moments, I meditate on how every breath, every moment is infused with the brush strokes of the Infinite light that permeate the darkest corners on this Earth.   The light informs and infuses every particle of our existence. And I take solace in reflecting on how our life’s work is to find it in the inner, deeper dimensions of our being, of our own inner light. The Sound of Truth I have come here to open my soul To the miracle of life To the wonder of this birth To the blossoming lotus flower In the centre of my core I have come to this Earth to free my spirit To the joy of knowing the true fabric of my essence To experience the ...

THE TREE by Jyoti Rebecca Yacobi

I have felt like a nomad, a gypsy all my life – always searching, never finding.  An outsider wherever I went... It manifested as a constant movement, first from one country to another during my teenage years, and then as a constant searching for something out there, in the world, that would complete me, that would end this existential angst. The poem “The Tree” is a metaphor for the One who has manifested the multiplicity of forms and has remained centered and grounded within Its Absolute Knowingness and Beingness. The trunk of a tree is solidly rooted in the ground and yet its branches are looking heavenly into the sky.   This is the longing, the yearning to know the Self while living in this body. The Tree I sit unwavering The trunk of a tree Nothing touches me I am unbound Centered and free I am the tree The giver of life That grows to give solace Water and food To every soul That wanders by I am the tree That...
