WHAT DO I KNOW OF HOLY by Jennifer Zechlin

What Do I Know of Holy?  by Jennifer Zechlin What do I know of Holy? I know that Holy Ground is found beneath the rocks used as pillows under the heads of desert dreamers. I know that Holy are ancient Infants born in menagerie filled stables and crumbling Kotel crevices filled with dust and prayers. Holy blinds atop mountain peaks and swirls in Jordan waters, this I know of Holy. But, I also know that Holy  is found in the bonfire's flames and the banshee's wailing cries. Holy are mantras and mandalas and thousands of tiny lamps floating down the Ganges. I know that Holy still speaks mystery through the silence of standing stones and breathes with the new bleats of lambs gambolling on Spring's verdant hills. Holy is Kashrut and Halal alike, but also in the pink-iced birthday cakes of every little girl. Holy is feasting and fasting, and standing in lines at soup kitchens and grocery stores. Holy is heard in scripture and poetry, liturgy and laments, rock ballads and drum...

WITHIN GOD’S LOVING HANDS by Eva Marie Cagley

Within God's Loving Hands  I watched the sun setting by the indigo lake  In the dusk of bright starry night  And the water dance ripples of love  Upon its orange sky that painted its hue of  Orange and yellow delight!  The taste of sweet tangerines  Still upon my dry parched lips!  Frozen now in my step upon the wooden  Man-made walkway  Gazing out beyond my eyes view  I could feel myself softly stepping upon  The billowing colorful sky’s canvas  Colors of autumn leaves formed like the clay in a desert  One would expect to see there.  My God, how sweet the silence here  Hardly an insect sound all hushed now  By this aura created by God’s hands…  In the dawning of night  It is here I contemplate on life  And its worldly things and I realize  Money can’t buy such beauty transformed  Within God’s hands!  An artist can’t quite capture its beauty  Painted upon canvas...

IN ABBA'S HOUSE by Cheryl Anne

T hough I attended Catholic school as a child, and have spent most of my life in circles and services wherein the Divine is presented and spoken of primarily as "Father"; and I have prayed what is probably the most recognizable prayer of Christianity; The Lord's Prayer, also known as the "Our Father", thousands of times; I honestly don't know that I have ever felt a genuine closeness with a fatherly presence of the Divine.  My natural inclination (in the sense of the Masculine) has always been toward the Presence of Christ, as Lover/Beloved, Brother, and Friend. I also naturally strongly sense and engage Feminine Spiritual Presence. This has at times made navigating Christian community rather challenging. The following piece was written many years ago, at a time of such struggle; feeling estranged from the notion of God as Father.  IN ABBA'S HOUSE In Abba’s House there are many rooms~ the oft-told mansions in the sky, love-lit and invi...

HOMAGE TO THE DARK MOON by Emelina Holland

I wrote this poem to capture my personal spiritual practice as a Practical Mystic...   Free poetic form became to me a sacred way to express its wholeness, to describe it and to share with others for teaching purposes.  Most importantly, it nourishes my soul each time I read it.  I feel I have captured a moment, a sacred ritual and its essence.  No matter what I am feeling or where I am, this poem is alive and transforms into a prayer, a beautiful reminder to me.  It reconnects me with the void of creation, the universal spiritual source of life, hope and renewal.  Above all, it is a reminder that no matter what is going on in my life, I am never alone and I am always supported by Life itself.  It brings me a deep sense of trust and security based on the truest resources there are, the mystical ones that is.   Homage to the Dark Moon by Emelina Holland In the dark of the Sacred Cosmic Womb when the Moon gracefully hides from the Su...

THE SOUND OF TRUTH by Jyoti Rebecca Yacobi

The sound that originates from the Source brings this Universe into existence… It is mystical, mysterious and magical! Its vibrations resonate at every level of our being. The existential question of the purpose of life is a constant companion to my mind. When I rediscover the Infinite Reality within, it is both an evolution and a revolution for me. The evolution of my own consciousness expands my understanding of the human experience. That’s when I begin to see the tapestry of life as an interweaving of the mundane and the divine, of movement and stillness, and of the form and the formless, all emanating from the same Divine Source! This poem attempt to capture that vision. The Sound of Truth I have come here to open my soul To the miracle of life To the wonder of this birth To the blossoming lotus flower In the centre of my core I have come to this Earth to free my spirit To the joy of knowing the true fabric of my essence To experience the ...
