There are nights spent with the ones we love… Nights that leave us connected to the universe through the people around us. This poem was written after such a night when my friends, for that time, were my universe … Mon Amie Fly with me in pouring skies, in spinning fields, like angels. Soar below the roaring stars, through waterfalls and breathing. Stumble over flickering black, with splintered sparkles, my daytime. Tempt me into paradise, down darkened alleys, but dancing. Flee with me to private night, in painful splendour, now feeling. Lower us into blissful slumber, under twinkling dust, find healing.
