Dark moments, I have had many…
Times where I never
wanted to awaken, knowing, the trying times ahead. But with each passing day I
choose to carry on in hopes of a brighter tomorrow. I tune into my breath and
the beauty in nature, believing I can and I do matter to someone…even if that
someone is just me.

Even in the Darkest
Moments
by Kim Buskala
"Let me hold your
hand"
I hear them say
Even when I am so far
away
Keep me in your
prayers
I promise I will
Not a day passes
I am with you still
My mother, my
father
A saint from a far
Some random person
I met in a bar
They've reached out
I've reached up
Closing my eyes
Remembering their
power
Deep inside
They told me I
could
I told them I would
Keep on going
As far as I should
Not running in fear
But a slow steady
stride
Believing I can, I
will, I do
Enjoy this ride
I matter to me:
a mother inside,
our father's pride
This baby please
cradle,
Rock me alive!

Kim Buskala: “I consider myself a free spirit, I fly by the seat of my pants. I have always known that I was going to be married and raise some awesome kids. That I have done. Married to a most forgiving, funny, loving man for thirty-one years and counting. I have also been privileged to stay home and raise two gorgeous daughters ages twenty-four and sixteen. I love nature and all it has to offer. To travel the seven seas from coast to coast, becoming one with culture is always a dream. Jamaica is my happy place where I feel most accepted and at home with myself and others. Africa is a place my heart longs to be, some day I will return and dance to the beat of their drums.” You may connect with Kim via Facebook here, or e-mail her: kbuskala@yahoo.com
