It is easy to get lost on the soul’s
journey...
The scope of our task is eclipsed by
day-to-day distractions that become detours to doubt.
As each new day dawns, we are given
the doorway to experiences that renew and revive faith: A quiet morning sitting
at my kitchen table, steaming mug of tea in hand, watching the hummingbirds
dance at my window helps me to remember my spirit.
These small gestures of blessing
become the threads that weave faith whole again.
Fragments of Faith
Hope is a welcome guest at my table
today
Though these seekers feet may have
stalled
Mired in comforts or complacency
I can see the path forward
Eternal intelligences of this body
Its fragility and resilience
Weaving stories of joy and pain
The strength of scars and spirit
Behold the elegance of life
Wonders and artistry moving through
Beauty welling in a broken heart
The majesty and helplessness of
loving
There are no secrets in the mirror
of remembrance
You are the loom that holds my
threads
You are the perfume carried on the
breeze
The blessed rhythms of contentment
and surrender
On these days when the longing is
too great
I find solace in small things
Tiny fragments of faith
That feed my hungry soul
