Today's moon will be resting in the sky from sunset, until sunrise...
It comes as the
next full moon after the Harvest moon, often called the Hunter’s Moon. It
ushers the season of Autumn and the changes that this season offers us.
As with
every full moon, I lift my intentions under its gleaming; its light pouring
down with illumination on all of us to see and hold in our hearts.
Autumn
Hunter’s Moon
Autumn
Hunter’s moon,
dusts
summer off-
its
midnight sky,
your
light rests-
on
the full gleam of the
seasons
shifting.
in quiet
resting,
the
seeds are gathered,
the
trees surrender-
soon
becoming,
bare
arms stretching,
touching
your shining-
in
the chill calm of darkness.
you
hold the evening’s beauty,
capturing
our intentions,
drawing
them into,
your
still waiting.
darkness
folds,
the
cold-
now
holding,
the
orange breath of sunset-
as
the sky slips behind black.
your
glow holds until,
dawn
touches your fading-
as
we release our opening,
to
your reflecting.

Maureen Kwiat Meshenberg: About 3 years ago, I was awakened from my slumber, though it was a devastating breaking point in my life, I was reunited to a true relationship with my spiritual self and my gift through poetry. It is my intention to reach others by sharing my story through poetry and touching theirs. I am the Page owner of Heart’s Calling .I am also the Visionary Poet for the Facebook Magazine "Women as Visionaries with Lore Raymond" here. I recite spoken word at different venues and also host a monthly Creative Writing Circle using the space for women to bring out their inner release through written word. I am currently working on publishing a book of my poetry. I can be contacted through my Heart’s Calling Facebook page here.
