The “shes”
in my life are many…
To
the few that are so close to my heart, I feel their prayers in my being. I
embrace the chance encounter, on the street, in the store, on my walking path.
I hold the circling of women in our dance, our songs, our tears and joy. I have
come to an empowerment of reaching for the women in my life: our love a golden
string that tethers us to each other’s souls.
She is the
One
she
is the one,
that
embraces me-
when
the ache of me,
seems
too hard to bear.
I
hold a golden string,
of
love between our dancing-,
as
we gather,
in
our heart gardens-
with
our soul dance,
in
the fields-
of
our surrendering.
more
than knowing,
she
is there and
laughs
with me,
in
my amusements,
more
than echoing
the
pain of all the women,
who
have gone on before us-
more
than the times,
we
hold each other-
to
the promise of empowerment.
whether
you are,
with
me in the morning
of
my waking sun,
you
hold my heart
in
your waking prayers.
sister
of my heart,
we
gather with our singing,
within
star lit dreams-
reaching
around our
encircling
power-
to
hold us to our tethering.
through
our chance encounter,
through
our life journey-
we
weave into,
the
memories of being-
how
grateful I am,
for
your song,
your
laughter,
your
tears upon-
my
living,
holding
you ever close-
Maureen Kwiat Meshenberg: About 3 years ago, I was awakened from my slumber, though it was a devastating breaking point in my life, I was reunited to a true relationship with my spiritual self and my gift through poetry. It is my intention to reach others by sharing my story through poetry and touching theirs. I am the Page owner of Heart’s Calling. I am also the Visionary Poet for the Facebook Magazine "Women as Visionaries with Lore Raymond" here. I recite spoken word at different venues and also host a monthly Creative Writing Circle using the space for women to bring out their inner release through written word. I am currently working on publishing a book of my poetry. I can be contacted through my Heart’s Calling Facebook page here.
