We spend so much
of our life wondering about the nature of God and what he is like…
I
do it and I suspect so do you and yet the answer is clear. As a Druid I believe that
the Divine is within everything In the Gospel of Thomas found in the Dead Sea
Scrolls Jesus says" when you pick up a stone am I not
there"
Bird Song
by Sarah Courtney
Dean
Bird song heralds the dawn
Of a frost rimed morn.
Blackbird, Robin and Wren
Sing for joy in paeans of praise,
To their creator.
(Are not all things created in the image of God )
This same song lifts my spirit,
Reconnecting me to the Divine
That envelops and mends me
Bringing forth my own song
To my creator.
(Are not all things created in the image of God)
And if all things are created In the image of God
what then,
Does God look like?
The answer is everything,
that walks, Flies, and stands
upon the Earth.
(As are not all things created in the image of God)
Sarah Courtney Dean: I am a poet and my poetry is part and parcel of my spiritual tradition. I am a Druid and a seer and also a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids. I live in the UK in the beautiful county of Dorset. My poetry is inspired by nature in all its forms especially by the progress of the seasons and how the Goddess is seen in them. I am single by choice and live with a ginger and white cat by the name of Rowan who as all cats are prone to rules the roost. You can find me on facebook here and on my page here.
