Well, I think it's
important to let poetry speak for itself…
That's
its beauty. However, this poem arose out of a time of struggle with over
scheduling and proving something.
Nothing
by Lorraine Roe
Strangely,
I feel I’ve run out of things to say about most things
There
is a nothing that hovers
I
believe in hard work, faith, miracles, humor
And
yet, there is also a vacuum
When
all grinds to a halt, an ending of sorts
There
will either be entropy
Or
a simple work stoppage
That
happens of it’s own volition
Not
because of some decision
But
because of nature taking its course
And
underlying need for quiet and stillness
When
nothing must be enough
Or
perhaps not
But
even if you don’t feel nothing is enough
It
still is nothing
Waiting
For
you
Lorraine Roe: I've slowly learned to love women's intuition. I teach boundary setting and self care to other women and try to live by it myself. I'm a former reporter, an author, mom, wife, and motorcycle rider. I'm slightly afraid of "nothingness" but I'm learning to make peace with it.
