Maybe every poem is a
spell…
Maybe
not intentionally at first, but through present moment awareness, spells are
indeed born. I believe poems are such spells!

Mad dancers in moonlit groves
circle and birth the goddess.
Thou art goddess,
beholder of unicorn magic,
guru magic
with fairy dust in breath.
Bearer of symbolic thinking,
magical thinking,
when bewildered
dances in circles
because this is the answer.
Shamans sing, dance, pray,
offer ceremony,
and bring whipping around
a medicine where healing lies
only in those who need it,
where love courses through pain
and deeply in the eyes of every woman,
women charms roll like a litany
a mantra, song, a prayer,
a garland of blessings
for the hearts
of all our relations.
