May this
poem bring us to the promise of hope that we must always believe: our glow is
always within us…
I wrote this poem for those who come to a place of feeling
so lost in their dark, often from the brutal blows of life; often from their
critical selves. I have entered into such a place, where I have felt so lost in
my darkness that I have felt as though I had lost sight of my light, my
passion, my shine.

Your
Soul Holds the Flame
by Maureen
Kwiat Meshenberg
All that has bruised you,
can not contain you-
your soul holds the flame,
its fire stands brighter-
against the raging winds,
of life.
light that reaches to touch,
your life around you-
passion not held back,
by one moment that passes-
and tries to blow it out,
from inside you.
your brilliance is forever,
past your own
physical living,
it shines in the
universe of dreams,
constellations of beings
that mingles with your truth.
the light that moves,
through the stories
of you,
melts them all away
from who you truly are.
reaching past the dawn,
of your night
no darkness can,
restrain you,
for you are more
than a dim dying star,
you are the source
of your eternal glow,
moving through
like a sun of
a new morning.
a new morning.

Maureen Kwiat Meshenberg: About 3 years ago, I was awakened from my slumber, though it was a devastating breaking point in my life, I was reunited to a true relationship with my spiritual self and my gift through poetry. It is my intention to reach others by sharing my story through poetry and touching theirs. I am the Page owner of Heart’s Calling. I am also the Visionary Poet for the Facebook Magazine "Women as Visionaries with Lore Raymond" here. I recite spoken word at different venues and also host a monthly Creative Writing Circle using the space for women to bring out their inner release through written word. I recently published my own poetry book "Seasons of the Soul: Transitions and Shifts of Life" available here, and am currently working on volume II. I can be contacted through my Heart’s Calling Facebook page here.
